12th June - Holbrook (AZ) -> Roswell (NM)
Started the morning with a visit to the Pretrified Forest National Park. I wasn't realy expecting much but we spent 4 hours there and could have spent 4 more. The fallen trees have been saturated with volcanic silicon and other minerals. Over time this turned into varried coloured quartz. It's a sunning thing to see. Lunch at The Pie Source in Pie Town (population 50), was also good. Pecan pie, red berry pie, lemon pie and a take out of cherry pie and another slice of Pecan. Yum Yum. We were lucky with it being Sunday as some of their freinds were there playing music. Certainly kept us going for a quick 250 miles across Arizona and New Mexico.
